HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL
Settoon Towing, we recognize and appreciate the critical
importance of responsible behavior in every facet of our operations,
particularly in the areas of health, safety and environmental
awareness. To this end, we have developed and put in place
policies and procedures dedicated to the health and safety
of our employees, the safeguarding of our customers' cargoes
and protection of the environment. In our business, safety
awareness and safe practices are imperative and essential
to our success.
With this in mind, our programs are designed and our employees
trained to understand the importance of preventative measures
needed to minimize, if not eliminate, any possibility of accidents.
Our safety record is exemplary, and we proudly regard our
employees, from the crewmen to the staff who support them,
as among the most safety-minded in the industry.
Settoon Towing has been a member of the American Waterways
Operators (“AWO”) Responsible Carrier Program (“RCP”) since
2002. RCP requires the implementation of formal policies and
procedures to insure our operations meet and exceed safety
and environmental guidelines set by AWO and other regulatory
agencies. RCP also requires periodic third party audits of
our operations to verify compliance. We are also proud to
have a certified RCP auditor as part of our marine personnel
team. |
