Crude Oil and Produced Water Gathering
Settoon Towing’s core business is the gathering of crude oil
and produced water. Both of these products are gathered from
inland production facilities across the Gulf Coast. Our experienced,
well trained personnel have logged countless hours on the
inland canals, bayous and rivers along the Gulf Coast and
are familiar with all of the oil and gas fields located along
these waterways. Our vessels, both boats and barges, are designed
to facilitate gathering liquids in the shallowest of waters.
Our scheduling programs offer customers the assurance that
their products will be moved in a prompt, safe and efficient
manner. Some specifics regarding our services and transportation
fleet are as follows:
- Tank barges ranging from 5,500 to 12,000 barrel capacities.
- A new built program that will result in the use of all
double-skin equipment for transporting of liquids in advance
of the OPA ’90 requirement of 2015.
- Vapor recovery systems are available to meet customer
requirements.
- Spill containment equipment located on every barge.
- Horse power on tugs ranging from 400 to 1,200.
- All tugs fully crewed to work 7 days/week 24 hours, non
stop.
- All tows have trained and qualified personnel on board
to work crude oil in accordance with API standards.
Storage Barges
Settoon Towing offers a wide range of tank barges with varying
capacities to be used as additional on-site storage for various
applications. Customers have long recognized the advantages
of utilizing this equipment to increase their storage capacity.
Some specifics regarding our storage barges and some of the
advantages they provide are:
- Available in both single and double skin profiles.
- Capacities from 6,000 to 27,000 barrels.
- A flexible, cost effective means to satisfy onerous lease
restrictions.
- Prompt turnaround and mobilization.
Bulk Transportation
Settoon Towing will take the next step in growing our fleet
in the first quarter of 2009. By taking delivery of our first
two 3,200hp tugs, each with twin 30,000bbl transport barges
Settoon Towing will enter the bulk transportation market.
We are very excited to enter this next phase of our growth
plan and are currently looking for long term working relationships.
Settoon Towing will look to change the way towing companies
crew their vessels with a new crewing strategy. Simply put
the Captains of these vessels will be hand picked from the
best in the industry and will be responsible to crew their
own tow. The crews will be responsible for day to day operations
with support from the management team. Please call our Houma

Marine Services
Settoon Towing does not “just” provide transportation and
storage equipment along with the best employees in the industry.
Through our marketing department and their enormous data base
of contacts, we can provide your company with just about any
marine equipment you are looking for. If your company is in

both located in south Louisiana on two of the most heavily
traveled waterways in the Gulf Coast area. These locations
allow us to promptly, efficiently and cost-effectively meet
